Tyler joined Takeoff Capital with the desire to back and work with grounded yet ambitious founders who are looking to build the next contech unicorn.

Tyler joins Takeoff Capital following a professional soccer career, during which he played for Næstved Boldklub of Denmark’s 1st Division and Birmingham Legion FC of the USL. Tyler finds that many of the habits he acquired while playing soccer since the age of 4 are applicable to being a successful investor; such as how his experience representing himself, instead of using an agent, and finding his own trial opportunities in foreign countries gave him the tool set needed to successfully source deals.

Tyler has previous work experience in the startup world; working for a medical education startup to program modules for their ultrasound training simulator and on their international sales and marketing teams.

Tyler holds a B.A. in Sociology with a foreign language citation in Spanish from Harvard University.
